August EHP: Systematic reviews in environmental health; PBDE correspondence

Two items in this month’s EHP worthy of attention are a piece about the need for systematic, transparent reviews in environmental health, to help policy-makers, clinicians, NGOs and others to assess the meaning of the wide (and widely variable) evidence for how the environment affects health.

In addition, the authors of two very interesting studies finding that exposure to fire retardants may interfere with women’s menstrual cycle and ability to conceive, respond to industry criticism of their work.
