Notice from the editorial team about important changes

We are making changes to help our medical audiences.
As readers may be aware, H&E was launched in 2009 as a joint project between the Cancer Prevention and Education Society and Health Care Without Harm Europe.
The idea has been, and continues to be, to provide useful information to help our readers understand the important health issues relating to the presence of toxic contaminants in the environment.
However, many of H&E’s readers work in the healthcare industry, and we recognise there are many important issues which our readers have to address on a day-to-day basis which are not fully covered in H&E’s editorial remit – especially the issues of climate change and energy efficiency and the practical implementation of environmental strategies in hospitals.
HCWH Europe and CPES have decided, therefore, that we can better serve our readers by offering more choice in publications. To achieve this, HCWH Europe will soon be launching a healthcare-specific newsletter about environmental issues in hospitals, while CPES will take over publication of H&E.
Readers of H&E will automatically receive the new HCWH Europe publication, but we will make sure it is very easy to change subscription preferences once the publication has been launched.
CPES gratefully acknowledges all the work done by HCWHE in creating H&E and for agreeing that CPES should take over its production and distribution in 2010 and beyond. Furthermore, we sincerely hope that these changes will be of substantial benefit to our readers.
